The Quiet Zone
|
At The Quiet Zone we offer a variety of massage techniques in our spa enviornment. We have individuals from the community who schedule regular massages for a vareity of reasons. Some of the many benefits that could take place are the following:
-Release endorphins—amino acids that work as the body’s natural painkiller.
-Pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, improving circulation.
-Assist with shorter, easier labor for expectant mothers and shorten maternity hospital stays.
-Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow—the body’s natural defense system.
-Help athletes of any level prepare for, and recover from, strenuous workouts.
-Relieve migraine pain.
-And so much more! (And it obviosuly just feels so good!) |

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.” ~ Psalm 139:14
God created our bodies to function perfectly. Because of such things as stressors, illnesses and injuries, there can be a break in this function.
As a massage therapist, my goal is to assist the client in returning his or her body as closely as possible to wellness or perfect functioning.
I help my client decide which type of massage and which length of massage will be the most beneficial to his or her need. I never work under the premise that I can cure any one…but rather remove a “road block” of sorts that is preventing the body to perform its natural healing processes or functions. A very basic example of this is working on a tight muscle to relax it. This in turn allows increased blood flow bringing nutrients to repair damaged tissue and carrying away waste products from the damaged tissue. Through educating the client on water , wellness, Chiropractic care and stretching techniques as needed, I am able to encourage him or her to take an active part in body or tissue repair and prevention of further damage. The old saying that states “time heals old wounds” illustrates the time and patience factors necessary for the body to heal itself.
My massaging hands can encourage, relax, move, calm, and/or stimulate tissues toward healing.
